A data journalism project published 3 days before the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit (4/27). Compared the language, economy, population, and culture of North and South Korea after 70 years of division through interactive graphics.
Challenge
With the inter-Korean summit imminent, what readers needed wasn't breaking news but context: "how different have we become in 70 years?" The challenge was to bring scattered statistics together into a single interactive piece.
